The Leaning Tower of Pisa
Thousands of people visit Pisa’s famous tower each year and wonder just how much longer it can exist without falling.
Millions of dollars have been spent to stop the tower crashing to the ground. Soft, shifting soil has always been the tower’s problem. Recently, it was discovered that the tower had moved two millimeters. This was a great setback because engineers had previously corrected about twenty millimeters of the lean by using an inventive underground cables idea to straighten the tower. Pisa would hate to lose its precious Campo dei Miracoli and the tourist dollars it generates.

This museum is situated less than an hour’s drive from the capital of Central Java. During the Dutch colonial days, Ambarawa was a military zone and the railway station was used to transport troops to Semarang through Kedungjati. It is at 474m above sea level, giving you unpolluted fresh air to breathe.

Iceland is a very unique island—in fact, it’s like nowhere else on earth. The interior of this island contains incredible contrasts. It has tundras, huge glaciers, volcanoes, and waterfalls. Saya ada beberapa pelajaran bisnis yang sudah terbukti mengantarkan saya menikmati hasil seperti saat ini. Sepuluh pelajaran di antaranya saya bocorkan gratis pada anda.

1. Pilih target market produk anda. Apapun produk anda, anda harus punya target market. “Siapa kira-kira yang akan membeli produk anda?” ini pertanyaan yang sudah harus anda tancapkan jauh sebelum anda membuat produk. Pastikan target market anda cukup besar. Lebih baik lagi, jika kompetitor untuk produk yang sejenis dengan milik anda masih sedikit. Karena dengan begitu, pasti produk anda akan laris manis. Sehingga anda pun bisa kaya mendadak!
2. Jaga hubungan baik. Jaga hubungan baik dengan siapapun. Keberhasilan kita dalam memasarkan produk sebetulnya tak lebih merupakan hasil dari hubungan yang terjaga baik. Ketika hubungan baik sudah terbangun, bisnis apapun bisa berjalan lancar. Tak terkecuali dengan kompetitor anda, jaga juga hubungan baik. Karena dengan begitu, anda diajak untuk bersaing secara sehat. Agar anda tanpa henti selalu meningkatkan kualitas produk anda. Atau mungkin anda bisa juga bekerjasama dengannya.
3. Lakukan dengan cara anda sendiri. Saya yakin setiap orang itu unik. Sehingga pasti setiap orang juga punya caranya sendiri untuk mengembangkan bisnis. Jangan terlalu terpaku pada pendapat banyak orang. Lakukan dengan cara anda sendiri. Baik untuk riset pasar, metode marketing, atau apapun. Sebab saya yakin anda sendiri yang paling tahu apa yang dibutuhkan oleh bisnis anda. Tapi jangan pula over confidence. Memang ada prinsip-prinsip umum bisnis yang perlu anda ketahui. Dan biar anda lebih cepat tahu, mau tak mau anda perlu belajar dari para master. Kemudian tinggal anda kembangkan sendiri sesuai kebutuhan bisnis anda.
4. Bergerak terus, pantang diam! Jangan ragu melangkah. Pastikan bisnis anda selalu bergerak. Lebih baik melakukan kesalahan, daripada bisnis anda diam saja tanpa perubahan. Kalau tidak bergerak, pasti anda akan terombang-ambing dalam gelombang ketidakpastian. Ketakutan mengambil keputusan dan melakukan tindakan bisa berakibat buruk bagi bisnis anda. Kegagalan bukan untuk ditakuti. Kegagalan adalah teman yang akan mengantarkan anda mencapai sukses.
5. Disiplin dan rapikan pekerjaan anda. Pebisnis sukses itu memiliki ritme kerja yang teratur. Sekali saja, terjadi ketidakteraturan, maka jadwal yang sudah direncanakan bakal berantakan. Di situlah pentingnya disiplin diri dalam mematuhi rencana bisnis yang sudah ditetapkan. Serta lakukan semuanya secara rapi. Pasti hasilnya bisa anda rasakan sendiri perbedaanya dibanding anda melakukannya secara semrawut. Contoh kecil, mulai dari merapikan meja kerja anda. Singkirkan barang-barang yang tak anda butuhkan agar anda bisa bekerja lebih nyaman.
6. Menyikapi resiko secara cerdas. Jangan ragu untuk menempuh resiko, selama hasil terburuknya bisa diprediksi dan terbatas serta hasil terbaiknya tanpa batas. Segera raih dan jangan pikir terlalu lama agar kesempatan itu tak terlebih dulu disabet orang lain.
7. Biasakan kebiasaan baik. Kesuksesan suatu bisnis lebih sering ditentukan oleh karakter pebisnis ketimbang kondisi yang tengah dihadapi. Pebisnis yang memiliki karakter kuat, seperti disiplin tinggi dan berani menghadapi resiko, tak akan pernah gentar menghadapi situasi apapun. Malah tak jarang bisa menjadikannya sebagai peluang. Seperti Warren Buffet, orang terkaya sedunia, di tengah resesi ekonomi Amerika masih bisa mengumpulkan uang Rp 200 triliun setahun. So, temukan karakter baik apa yang perlu anda perkuat. Penguatan karakter diri anda akan sangat berpengaruh terhadap bisnis anda.
8. Terapkan rutinitas positif. Coba atur rutinitas anda selama seminggu ini. seperti olahraga dan tidur yang teratur. Harapannya dengan begitu fokus dan konsentrasi anda dalam membangun bisnis anda akan meningkat.
9. Lakukan dengan penuh cinta dan dapatkan hasil memuaskan. Tidak cukup anda hanya senang dengan bisnis anda, tapi bila bisnis yang anda senangi itu tak cukup memberikan hasil, pasti bisnis anda dicap gagal. Sebaliknya, kalau anda mungkin tak suka dengan jenis bisnis anda tapi ternyata hasilnya sungguh menggiurkan, yang terjadi jiwa anda pasti tersiksa. Karena anda sukses di bidang yang anda tidak senangi. Jadi lakukan bisnis yang anda suka dan buatlah sukses. Pasti hasilnya akan memuaskan hati anda. Begitupun kalau anda berniat jadi affiliate marketer, penting untuk memasarkan produk yang anda suka!
10. Beli kursi kerja yang nyaman. Saya tidak mengada-ada. Sungguh! Pilihlah kursi yang nyaman untuk aktivitas kerja anda. Sebab, kalau anda mau sadari benda itulah yang paling banyak anda pakai saat bekerja, melebihi komputer anda bahkan. Pilihlah kursi yang bisa menahan lengan, punggung, leher, sampai kepala anda dengan nyaman. Tak harus yang paling mahal, tapi yang penting paling nyaman untuk diri anda. Karena itu anda perlu mencobanya sendiri sebelum membeli.
